  • describe the 2021 updates and revisions to the ambulatory standards
  • discuss the elements of performance as it relates to their role in accreditation preparation
  • identify and discuss new changes to the survey process with peers and colleagues. 


This webinar is intended for the following audience:

This series intended for all levels of professionals who need to know the ambulatory care standards, and survey process.  This may include, but is not limited to: administrators, clinical leadership, managers, and clinical professionals such as nurses, pharmacists, physicians, and social workers.  The standards surround ambulatory surgery centers, community health, dental settings, primary care, office-based surgery, diagnostic imaging, telehealth, convenient care, urgent care, kidney care, sleep services or other ambulatory care settings.

Because regulations and guidelines do change, it is a good idea to check for updates from your state, county or city on a regular basis and always before registering for a specific course to make sure it will be acceptable for your license/certification renewal


Summary of Continuing Education contact hours awarded for this program:

  • ANCC:  1 hour for each session
  • ACHE:  1 hour for each session
  • CA Board of Registered Nursing: 1 hour for each session
  • CJCP:  1 hour for each session


The Joint Commission is accredited to provide continuing education credit/hours by the following organizations:


ANCC: Joint Commission Resources is also accredited as a provider of continuing nurse education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Joint Commission Resources designates this continuing nursing education activity for the listed contact hours.


ACHE:
Joint Commission Resources is authorized to award the listed hours of pre-approved ACHE Qualified Education credit for this program toward advancement, or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives.  Participants in this program wishing to have the continuing education hours applied toward ACHE Qualified Education credit should indicate their attendance when submitting application to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification.


CA Board of Registered Nursing:
Joint Commission Resources is provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 6381 for the listed contact hours.


CJCP® (Certified Joint Commission Professional®):
To obtain CJCP credit hours, individuals must first be certified before they may start acquiring CJCP credit hours. CJCP credit hours will not be retroactive. CJCP professionals are required to maintain 30 CJCP credit hours within their three-year certification period.


Criteria for Successful Completion:

  • Full attendance at every session is a prerequisite for receiving full continuing education credits
  • Completion of program evaluation form
