This is the essential education series that premiered in 2019, and is now being updated, recorded, and released in 2020 with the latest and most up-to-date information. The on-demand series is focused on standards found in the in the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Behavioral Health Care (CAMBHC) and is intended for those units and organizations surveyed under these standards.

A great opportunity for distance learning, you won’t want to miss! Join your peers to hear the latest surrounding BHC standards and survey process while earning continuing education credits. Our faculty include Joint Commission Behavioral Health Care Surveyors, JCR Consultants, and other Joint Commission Enterprise professionals from the Standards Interpretation Group (SIG) who answer these questions daily. The content for this series will walk through each chapter of the CAMBHC including any changes coming, standards, elements of performance, challenging standards, and survey tips and best practices for implementation.

This activity is relevant to anyone providing care across the behavioral health care setting, but intended especially for: organization leaders, risk managers, supervisors, social workers, nurses, counselors, and staff responsible for quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management initiatives in addition to psychiatric and acute care staff of addiction and opioid treatment programs.

Before registering for a program check for updates from your state, county or city on a regular basis to make sure it will be acceptable for your license/certification renewal.

Summary of Continuing Education contact hours awarded for this program:

  • ANCC: 1 hour each session (total of 11 CEs)
  • ACHE: 1 hour each session (total of 11 CEs)
  • ACPE: 1 hour for Medication Management session only (total of 1 CE)
