The Joint Commission introduced National Patient Safety Goal^®(NPSG) NPSG.15.01.01 more than a decade ago to address continued suicide risk. NPSG.15.01.01 offers a framework for identifying and managing individuals at risk for suicide. However, today’s suicide rate remains a major concern.
