Product Description
The 2024 Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Ambulatory Care (CAMAC) features the official Joint Commission standards, elements of performance (EPs), National Patient Safety Goals®, and other accreditation requirements, including those for the optional Primary Care Medical Home certification.
Please note:This hard-copy manual does not have an Update Service. The CAMAC is published annually. The most up-to-date standards throughout 2024 are available electronically through E-dition®, found on your Joint Commission Connect® extranet site or available for purchase here.
Understanding Which Standards Apply. The Joint Commission surveys many types of organizations under the ambulatory care standards, including ambulatory surgery centers, community health centers, imaging centers, rehabilitation centers, and urgent care clinics. (See the section on Settings below for a longer list of settings.) Standards for all these settings appear in the 2024 CAMAC. Eligibility requirements will differ based on the services provided and survey option you select. More information is available in the “Standards Applicability Process” chapter of the CAMAC or E-dition and on The Joint Commission’s website.
