The 2025 Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Laboratory and Point-of-Care Testing (CAMLAB) features the official Joint Commission standards, elements of performance (EPs), National Patient Safety Goals^®, and other accreditation requirements. It is organized as follows:

• Gold tab” standards requirements, including the standards, EPs, National Patient Safety Goals, and Accreditation Participation Requirements effective January 1, 2025
• “Blue tab” accreditation process information about Joint Commission policies and procedures and practical survey preparation information on documentation requirements, standards applicability, and more
• Several appendixes, including one on standards related to Individualized Quality Control Plans (IQCP) and one on duplicated standards between the laboratory and hospital accreditation programs

The CAMLAB also features icons to help navigate documentation requirements and risk areas and a “What’s New” summary of changes made since the previous edition. Survey readiness tools, including compliance prompts, documentation checklists, and action planning worksheets, are included at the end of each standards chapter.

Please note:The CAMLAB is published annually. The most up-to-date standards throughout 2025 are available digitally on E-dition^®, found on your Joint Commission Connect^® extranet site or available for purchase here.

Setting: Organizations accredited under the Laboratory Accreditation Program, including the following:

• Laboratories in hospitals, clinics, nursing care facilities, home care organizations, behavioral health care organizations, ambulatory sites and physician offices
• Reference laboratories
• Freestanding laboratories, such as assisted reproductive technology laboratories
• Blood transfusion and donor center laboratories
• Public health laboratories, including Indian Health Service laboratories
• Laboratories in federal health care facilities, such as the Department of Veterans Affairs
• Point-of-care test sites in patient care areas, which may include blood gas laboratories providing services to patients in emergency rooms, surgical suites, and cardiac catheterization laboratories

All Joint Commission Resources products require pre-payment. For your convenience, if you do not have a credit card or a Paypal account available, we offer a sales quote/proforma invoice option to assist with initiating your payment. Payments submitted by check take up to 14 days to process. If you are registering for a program less than 14 days away, your registration may not be received in time and your seat may not be reserved. You will not have access to electronic program materials until your payment has been received. We strongly recommend credit card payments for any events less than 14 days away.

To take advantage of this option:

1. Choose your item(s) and add them to your shopping cart. Select "Proceed to Secure Checkout or Create Proforma Invoice."
2. Enter your billing and shipping details. Select "Continue."
3. The next screen will be a full summary of your order.
4. On the bottom right, there is a section titled "Create Proforma Invoice."
5. Click the "Proforma Invoice" button. (See image below.) 
6. Within 5 minutes, a sales quote will be sent to your email address with details about how to complete a check or wire transfer payment.
