Event Description

We have two options for attending the Environment of Care® Base Camp. You can either attend in person or via live webcast. 

In addition, don't forget to join us the following two days for Exploring the Life Safety Chapter on November 21-22, 2024.

This in-depth seminar will arm you with knowledge, tools, and strategies to ensure your organization is in compliance with The Joint Commission’s (TJC) Environment of Care (EC) standards. Hear from TJC engineers (past and present) as they discuss current challenges,compliance tips, and strategies to ensure a successful survey every time. You’ll learn how to build a framework that delivers the highest level of patient safety and care.

Intended Audience:
This 2 day event is perfect for anyone preparing for a TJC survey or working to build the safest environment for staff and patients. Content is targeted at those who are new to their role or those who want a refresher course in TJC standards, including risk and accreditation managers, and quality managers and directors, Certified Facility Managers and Certified Healthcare Safety Professionals.  .

The attendees will have access to program materials through the Learning Management System until: February 20, 2025.

Continuing Education

Before registering for a program, check for updates from your state, county or city on a regular basis to make sure it will be acceptable for your license / certification renewal.  In order to receive continuing education credit, participants must attend live events or review recorded programs in their entirety and complete the post-training evaluation.

If you plan on taking a taxi from the airport, please make sure you do not use a City of Chicago Taxi–these are more expensive. Make sure you use a suburban taxi service listed above.

Looking for something to do in the evening?
Two large malls (Oak Brook Mall & Yorktown Mall), a movie theatre (Yorktown) and many restaurants are located in the area.
Some hotels can prearrange drop offs & pickups within a few miles. Please speak to the hotel directly for availability.

Payment Options

All Joint Commission Resources products require pre-payment. For your convenience, if you do not have a credit card available, we offer a sales quote/proforma invoice option to assist with initiating your payment. Payments submitted by check take up to 14 days to process. If you are registering for a program less than 14 days away, your registration may not be received in time and your seat may not be reserved. You will not have access to electronic program materials until your payment has been received. We strongly recommend credit card payments for any events less than 14 days away.

To take advantage of this option:

1. Choose your item(s) and add them to your shopping cart. Select "Proceed to Secure Checkout or Create Proforma Invoice."
2. Enter your billing and shipping details. Select "Continue."
3. The next screen will be a full summary of your order.
4. On the bottom right, there is a section titled "Create Proforma Invoice."
5. Click the "Proforma Invoice" button. (See image below.) 
6. Within 5 minutes, a sales quote will be sent to your email address with details about how to complete a check or wire transfer payment.
