It may seem daunting at times when dealing with CMS’s Conditions of Participation (CoPs). However, JCR’s one-day educational program is designed to provide health care professionals with key information necessary to navigate the challenging aspects of Medicare’s CoPs. CMS experts will offer tips and compliance strategies, to help you and your organization fulfill participation requirements. Our 2023 program will cover a variety of topics, including: top CoP citations, key proposed CMS rules changes, emergency preparedness, CMS and the physical environment, Final Rule for patient access and interoperability and the Washington Update. Our experts will also cover an overview and update on reading CMS Tea Leaves. Have your questions answered by our panel of CMS experts.

Intended Audience:
This program is geared toward individuals who already have a working knowledge of CMS compliance issues, processes, and findings—specifically advanced beginners to experts. However, any healthcare-related professional interested in Medicare’s CoPs for hospitals would benefit from this program if your role, title, or job responsibilities relate. This may include: administrators, clinical leadership, managers, physicians, etc.

Attendees will also have access to the recorded sessions until November 21, 2023.

Health & Safety

Health & Safety

For conferences held in non-health care settings, The Joint Commission and Joint Commission Resources follow local regulation and CDC community level recommendations as conference requirements related to masking and other interventions to prevent the spread of respiratory disease, including COVID-19.  CDC recommendations are reviewed weekly and any change in requirements will be communicated to conference attendees the Thursday evening before the conference.  We encourage all conference participants to review their organizations travel requirements and assess their own risk and tolerance of possible exposure to respiratory virus infection in a group setting and act accordingly.  This may include wearing the best fitting mask that you can tolerate except when eating and drinking, practicing social distancing when masking is not possible, and choosing to participate in conferences virtually where available. Because the sensitivity of testing for viral pathogens varies based on the test performed, we do not require testing as a condition of participation.  Please do not attend an in-person conference if you are experiencing new onset of respiratory symptoms that could be indicative of viral infection.  However, because we cannot differentiate mild respiratory symptoms due to allergies, resolved infection, and non-infectious causes, attendees with respiratory symptoms should wear a mask.
